First Time Patients

Because we care, we want your experience at the San Diego Cancer Center to be the best possible and we hope this section will assist in that effort. Please let a member of our team know if you have any questions, needs, or suggestions for how we may better serve you.

We provide all of our new patient forms online so you can complete them in the convenience of your own home.

3. Please bring your printed and completed forms with you to your appointment and save time on your visit!

Financial and Referral Assistance

Our financial counselors and referral coordinators verify coverage and obtain referrals and authorizations for your services. We will file claims with your insurance company. Our patient account representatives can assist you with your insurance questions and arrange a payment plan for your account balance. Our patient account representatives are available from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at 760-598-1700.

Advocacy and Support Groups

Studies at Stanford University have shown that patients who participate in support groups lived longer than those who were not assisted by a support group. We know that people who use mind/body approaches feel better, have a better quality of life and frequently live longer.

Under our non-profit, The San Diego Cancer Research Institute, Integrative Medicine Volunteer Program, Encinitas Center, offers the following support groups. These groups are open to all cancer patients in San Diego County. Please see the Integrative Calendars or flyers for more information. Call our Encinitas Office at 760-634-6661 or our Vista Office at 760-598-1700 to register and to check for any changes in times.

Complementary Therapies

We believe in an integrative approach to treat cancer. We offer complementary modalities through our non-profit organization, The San Diego Cancer Research Institute (www.sdcri.org).
