Dr. Fareeha Siddiqui believes in the success of communication, empathy and an excellent understanding of tumor science biology in treating our cancer patients. Dr. Siddiqui received her medical training at the Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. This was followed by a three year residency at The University of Illinois Michael Reese Program which was completed in 2003, after which she pursued and successfully completed a three year double fellowship program in Hematology and Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, in 2006. She is Triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology, with focused training in Palliative Care and Pain Control.

 
Dr. Siddiqui has widespread clinical interests, including most solid tumors and diseases of the blood. She is a Palliative Care specialist who believes in forming strong bonds with her patients and their families in an effort to provide the best possible care through a patient’s most difficult times. She believes in evidence based, cutting edge medicine as a way in which to hopefully achieve a cure for our patients, tempered with compassion, empathy and sincerity.

Dr.Siddiqui is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. She has a great interest in teaching and has taught medical students throughout her career.

Her goal is to successfully build and promote San Diego Cancer Center’s Lung, Melanoma and Neuro-oncology Programs, with the help of supporting sub-specialties. She is also a hematology specialist who treats a wide variety of bone marrow disorders and helps facilitate Bone Marrow Transplantation Consults.

Dr.Siddiqui and Dr. Adler also run the San Diego Cancer Center Thoracic Oncology Tumor Board, where specialists from different fields of medicine, trained in dealing with thoracic tumors, discuss complex cases and new academic data and trials.

Dr. Siddiqui is an avid swimmer and enjoys scuba diving, snorkeling and kayaking. She also loves to read and travel.
