Our Mission
The San Diego Cancer Center is a comprehensive cancer center
dedicated to accelerating the development and availability
of cutting-edge cancer therapies, and to improving, through
comprehensive complementary approaches, the quality of life
for cancer patients.
The San Diego Cancer Center believes
in a multidisciplinary approach to wellness. The primary goals
of our center are to help patients who have cancer gain quick
access to state-of-the-art ‘bench to bedside’ medical treatment,
and to provide them with optimal physical, emotional and psychological
guidance to deal with the challenge of their illness. We believe
that participation in a wide variety of clinical trials, using
new combinations of medicine, new molecules, immunotherapy,
gene therapy and anti-angiogenesis should go hand in hand
with research on the effects of complementary medicine therapies.

Year 1992
The San Diego Cancer Center formerly
known as the Oncology Medical Center of San Diego was established
in 1992. In less then a decade SDCC developed into one of
the leading centers for comprehensive cancer treatment based
in North San Diego County, with offices in Vista and Encinitas.
The San Diego Cancer Center considers
it a priority to help streamline and package the increasing
flow of information that is becoming available to the public.
From the latest discoveries in biotechnology and the advances
in medical techniques to the importance of early cancer detection
and the effects of the human spirit on the healing process.
By giving patients the tools to learn more about their illness
and how to handle it, our center considers it its task to
help people overcome their fears and turn them into HOPE.
Learning how to deal with the diagnosis
of cancer and strengthening one’s mental outlook are crucial
ingredients in recovering from cancer, and in ultimately living
a normal and productive life. The San Diego Cancer Center
